One Hundred and Eighteen

Birmingham Brum Town Drainage,
Crystal Phallus, Herbert's Culvert, Mistaken Identity, Baptizer, The River Rae.

I read the look on Siologens face. Exactly the same as mine, almost asleep and half dazed. We legged it to the bus station, our next stop Birmingham. Bags overflowing with the stench of drain and sewer, we were met by Snappel and LittleMike in the city. A quick bite to eat, some unneccesary charges and off we were for Brum-Towns drainage.

Herbert's Culvert

Running its main length under the Longbridge Rover MG plant, this was found by Dweeb and Raddog in 2008. Rectangular in construction, some may argue it's boring but none the less, a perfect warm up drain to commence the weekend, and a chance for Snapski to slide into his Accrington wet waders.
The Rae, Culverted River

The evening took us on a pleasant walk through the River Rae. The main culverted section is quite big, holding a number of oversized side pipes, most of which lead nowhere, and some being overflow chambers for near-by sewers.

Crystal Phallus, Drain

Hostels ftw, I really don't think I could have the time of the day to sleep in the car again, on-top of it the aussie bitch and free toast definitely made the Hostel the place to be. After indulging on free shit, we busted one down to Crystal Phallus, or Spider Culvert on the Hockley Brook. Read up more about it on JonDoe's Sub-Urban.

Mistaken Identity

This section of watercourse hold's a number of pretty cool culverts and sewer overflow chambers. But my god its farkiin slippy shiiit! Mistaken Identity is a section split into two. Awesome black brick dominates the construction and it also features an impressive Sewer overflow chamber. Really need to re-visit this one, and venture up the sewer.

Baptizer, Culvert

Upstream of Mistaken Identity, we're led to the Baptizer. Another black brick piece of pornography. A Section of this gets extremely deep. After my mishap at accrington that resulted in a broken phone and damaged lense, I really wasn't up for wader breach. Being the shortest of the group, the odds seemed against me. I managed to tip toe through coming out the other side dry. LM made it through fine and Snapski didn't have to worry in his chesties. Siologen on the other hand endured a full on wader breach ... dang.

Moonwalker, Drain

We only ventured up a small section, time was pressing on, and the ruthless coach drivers wouldn't accept my pleading if I were late. The three of us left Siologen who continued on upstream, and found a new section which he's named The Big D. Having not ventured up Moonwalker, is another reason why I need to get back to Brum Town,
