The Cavern, Combined Sewer Overflow, Accrington
Accrington truly is odd. Towns all over the country have small sewer systems, like babies, 4.5lb babies. Well Accrington's new sewer system was like giving birth to a toddler. Unnatural, big and forget stretch marks, that shit'd have to be sewn up and replaced...In essence the Cavern is like a sex education tape on acid.
The main trunk features a massive 20 foot high rock-blasted tunnel that runs for about 200 metres. The sewer leading is a massive 10 foot RCP delivering a mighty river. Myself and LittleMike ventured a fair way up untill we reached a slow incline.
In the middle of the rock-blasted spray crete tunnel is a chamber approximately 80 foot tall and at 20 foot in diameter. It mimics those of new storm drain systems, similar to that found in COTS (Brighton) and Bypass in Bradford.
