Twenty Four

I always label my photographs very chronologically, I think it's the only thing i keep just about well organised. And i've never done one of those "best moments" of two thousand and seven, so since im bored i might as well do one.
ok, so heres 12 photographs of some of my Best moments in '07.

One.

This was shot on 01/01/07. After an incredibly funny, random new years involving small explosives, random parties, PNC stop n searches, more police cars, fine cigars and berko, Myself, James (center) and Moore (left) find ourselves on an 8 mile walk through the countryside to get back to civilisation (food). Upon which we find this telly, displayed nicely here at the edge of a farmers field. A couple walking their dog asked us if we were going to damage it, we replied ofcourse not, we're good boys, and they said they'd be back with their car in 5 minutes to take it to the Dump. We Smashed it ofcourse.

Two

In early '07 I purchased my second digital camera. A step up model from my old fuji, a high end "bridge" camera, with dSLR-like features. I remembered it finally allowed me to exceed the time for long exposures from 15, to 30 seconds, so after much searching i found a bridge of google earth i thought i'd head to in the night. This was the first time i really made an effort to go out and take a photo, usually i'd just let the opportunity come to me. I ended up having to walk in the pitch black through some woods, Nikes caked in mud, damp socks from accidentally standing in puddles. When i got to this bridge i was ecstatic to find there were no street lamps on this stretch of bypass. I reviewed the photos in a pub later that night, propper happy with the outcome, they wern't even that good! But they were a pretty big achievment to me!

Three

I've always bought my own photography equipment, but i remember in March, my pop's picked me up a Holga in White on eBay as a present. Best thing that ever happened in terms of reviving film photography for me. I remember taking my first shot and thinking...haha i can't review it untill i've have them developed. I mean, i initially got into photography with film, but its always good to get back in the swing, broader outlooks on taking a photo i suppose. I think, if anyone has a creative drought...get a holga, you wont regret it. It also introduced 120film into my life. Beautiful stuff.

Four

Four brings us to April. April was good, it held many a party to include Claudia's, Tom's and Mike's. But i can't fail to forget Owen's party. Owen, has held a number of parties in the past, and they've all been amazing, really full out awesome parties, full with thing's to entertain you, (e.g. inflatable guitars, bags full of party poppers, enough girls and an awesome croud). This party was for his birthday, and as alway's I never remember failing to make good compilation CD's. This one is one of those "you had to be there moments" that you can't really explain in a blog.

Five

This was a hard choice, it was either this or prom, prom was good, but this was better, this marked our last day of study in 6th form, a day full of signing books, hassling teachers and egging random students. I managed to organise a group photo for the majority of our 6th form after lunch reg. Man I miss school. It might seem shit at the time, but enjoy it, its a propper laaf. Uni's Just as good.

Six

After sitting my A levels, it meant i had enough time to skate more than once a month or something pussy like that. This was a shot i got of Chris ollieing a Keep Left post at Harpendon skatepark that i was pretty happy about, hell, its mad. I havent seen Big C in a while, the last time I was with him was on a trip to cornwall, which will no doubt pop up later.

Seven

A week before my birthday, Myself, George, Lucy, Gibbons, James, Cousin tom and Tom Drew decided to head off to Wales. We went to a place called Newgale and camped out on the edge of the beach, we' just so happened to pick the four most sunniest day's in Wales for our road trip. Man, just looking through the photos now and i cant stress how much of a good time I had, one of the best trips i've had. And you dont have to go to the fanciest place to have an awesome time, i could have been chilling with my mates anywhere in the world and it would have been the best. It's a shame ive limited myself to one photo per "memory" on here, because there were so many funny moments. There's just too much to explain on here about Wales and i'd rather be explaining it in the pub with those of us who went. Next summer i really hope we plan something like this, im thinking on the south coast. cant fucking wait.

Eight

In the photo for "Seven" I was basically saying you can't beat a trip somewherw with your mates. In August 07 upon a recent sponsorship with Skater Owned Skater run Discipline Skateboards, Mat Lloyd, Big Chris, Paul Haysman, Ross Griffiths, Scott "Manhead" Mallord, Alfie Brown and Myself embarked on a small roadtrip 7 hours into the southwest to Cornwall, Hayle to hit some of the skateparks, get photos and filming done for the recently opened company. Too many funny things happened on this trip. Porno on the iTrip, Alfie's Heart, Manheads handplant, Hayles concrete sex of a skatepark, CUNTFACE!, secret spot, slugs, grass bowls, stezzer!, pot noodles n dr pepper, the rhino skatepark and too many more to name, again, this one is definately a conversation best saved for the pub.

Nine

Photo Nine marks freshers week, arriving in a brand new city to me, 200+ miles away from home, totally on my own, meeting a bunch of random people doing exactly the same thing. Pretty fucking awesome, it's a shame i didn't take my camera out more. Somehow moving into a big city, i've was less keen taking my camera out. Thats changed a bit now, cause i know where to go and where not to!

Ten

I shot this at TV House in manchester a month after uni had started. I'd never really been on top of a building before, and getting up onto this was fun! The view was fantastic. You just cant beat the view from the top of a building, without glass, without anything, without people.

Eleven

On November the 5th, Scott, Stepping Lightly and myself tripped to the roof of the tallest building outside London, the Beetham tower (hilton). 50 floors high we missioned up to the roof of this fantastic building in full suits. Photos cant represent how amazing the views are. The fireworks were awesome from up here too! If i had the opportinuty to go up here again, i definately would. but it isnt as easy as that.

Twelve

The last moments of '07 were spent partying in st james park with a load of good friends, some i hadn't seen for a long while, it made it all the better, just like old times! we made our way to the thames and got an okay spot to see fireworks over the river. That night was really funny, myself and moore ended up sleeping in some stables. certainly memorable!

anyways, end
